Barry DeVorzon & Perry Botkin, Jr.
Barry DeVorzon and Perry Botkin, Jr. are most known as the composers of "Nadia's Theme." The song first appeared as "Cotton's Dream" from the 1971 movie soundtrack Bless the Beasts and Children. Beginning in 1973 it became the theme song to the daytime television show "The Young and the Restless" where it played five days a week for more than 50 years. In 1976, its most famous use was during the Olympic Games as accompaniment to Romanian gymnast Nadia Comaneci. After that A&M Records added another minute to the song so it could be used as a single and also donated a portion of the sales to the U.S, Olympic Committee. A&M also used the track as the title to a sampler album by its artists.
