Charlie Robinson

Better known as an actor, Charles Knox Robinson, III appeared in the films The Sand Pebbles, Splendor In the Grass, Take Her She's Mine, and The Interns, and on television in Laramie.

Jerry Moss knew Robinson because Robinson was married to an ex-wife of a friend. Moss reasoned that because actors were having hit records at the time Robinson might also be successful.

The A side of his A&M single "Love Is Back In Style" was written by his wife Joan Calistri Robinson and Herb Alpert played trumpet on the track.
