James Burton

Elvis Presley's producer Felton Jarvis contacted A&M Records about having James Burton record an album. Signed with A&M Records in March 1971 James Burton recorded The Guitar Sounds Of James Burton. The backing band included members of Area Code 615. Burton's contract with A&M was announced as a long-term however he only released one album.

James Burton was voted 19 in Rolling Stone's 100 Guitarists of All Time.
