Seiko

Seiko's Was It the Future album was an attempt to bring a Japanese artist to prominence in the United States. The songs on the album were targeted for the R&B crossover market and were "commercially accessible" for 15 to 24 year-old girls and women with a micro-marketing effort toward Asian-Americans. There was a video for "Let's Talk About It."

Seiko was signed to A&M in North America and to Mercury for the rest of the world as both labels were owned by PolyGram.
