Stranglers

In 1976, while appearing at the University of Surrey, the Stranglers halted their show 15 minutes into the set despite the fact that the BBC was filming the performance for its "Rock Goes to College" series. The Surrey Union reported the band was abusive, obscene and insulting toward the audience. The Stranglers' management company dropped the band after the incident.
