Signed with A&M Canada in the Summer of 1971 on an artist and publishing deal. First single was "Sunshower in the Spring." Recording for his debut album was finished in October 1971.

In March 1973 Terry McManus announced he had been released from his contract with A&M Records Canada. Neither McManus nor A&M gave any reason for the split.
