VIPER RECORDS
Viper Records was Attic Records' heavy metal label. Viper was established in 1985. It was distributed, via Attic, through A&M Records of Canada 1985 to 1988. Attic's president Al Mair told RPM, "Attic has always been this country's leader with hard rock and metal, and we felt a separate label with its own unique identity would be the ideal situation to fully capitalize on our success in this field. We know metal best."
In 1985 a band named Blind Vengeance was signed to Viper and released an album. The group is noted in an Attic Records advertisement with distribution by A&M Records Canada, however the album was never released through A&M.
